The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture, associated partner to E.H.P.P.C.- MED (ENPI -CBC MED project), has developed in the frame of SPIIE project an electronic system for sharing phytosanitary certificate between the control authorities of both countries, to export potatoes.

This initiative has participated to the International Call launched by EXPO MILANO 2015 together with more than 750 BSDP from all around the world. It has been selected by an International committee as one of the 18 world best sustainable development practices (BSDP)in the sector of food security.

 

The Ministry of Agriculture of Egypt as leader applicant of this best practice will be awarded during the “week of Best Practices”, that will be organized by EXPOMILANO from 9 to 15 June. This week aims to share with the public the ideas and content of the 18 winning Best Practices as well as the highest possible number of applications 2015 in order. During the award/prize, photo stories illustrating the activities related to the winner BSDP will be presented in the pavilion 0 at Expo Milano.

EHPPC-Med project is invited to participate to the award event presenting its initiative: it will be a great opportunity to share the first project results within an international contest.

 

EXPO MILANO will take place from  May  1st to October 31st 2015 and more than 20 million visitors are expected, so it will be an important visibility event.
